"Security researchers say a worm that has infected millions of computers worldwide has been reprogrammed to strengthen its defenses while also trying to attack more machines.

As the worm awakens and updates, fears of infection spread through the net.  One very quick and easy thing you can do, in addition to making sure your Windows Updates are current, is the Conficker Worm Eye Chart.
